Brands — COR
COR is still run by the same family that founded it; established in 1954 by Helmut Lübke and the Prince of Bentheim Tecklenburg (who left the company in the 1980s).
Collective is proud to bring Cor furniture to Australia.
Cor is still run by the same family that founded it in the mid-nineteen fifties, and still based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Furniture has been an important part of people’s lives in this region for generations and they are passionate about it.
Cor was established in 1954 by Helmut Lübke and the Prince of Bentheim- Tecklenburg. When the royal co-founder quit the company in the nineteen eighties the Lübke family became the sole proprietors of COR and managed the company themselves.
Cor’s products are one hundred percent made and tested in Rheda-Wiedenbrück – using and sourcing the highest quality materials for their furniture; including leather from southern Germany and upholstery fabric in Italy.
Since its inception, COR has collaborated with forward-thinking and innovative designers, producing unique pieces that withstand the test of time thanks to their attention to detail and the manufacturing process. Specialising in upholstered furniture such as sofas and occassional chairs, as well as dining tables and chairs, Cor’s collection includes many designs that have become design classics and recognised globally for their design detail and manufacturing quality.
Cor is the Latin word for heart. It was chosen because the royal co-founders coat of arms featured three hearts, but now still encompasses the heart and passion of Cor.
